1942Brothers Edmond and Leonard Leone establish Curbell Machine Company as a subcontractor for government military contracts. They chose the name Curbell to acknowledge their first two customers: Curtiss-Wright and Bell Aircraft.
1947Curbell Machine Company is incorporated. Name Change to Curbell, Inc. Curbell begins to distribute and fabricate plastic parts.
1957Curbell opens a facility in Rochester, NY.
1960Curbell's Electronics Division was created to manufacture hand-held controls for use with hospital television sets and nurse call systems.
1963Curbell opens a facility in Syracuse, NY.
1980Curbell opens a facility in Erie, PA.
1984Curbell opens a facility in Pittsburgh, PA.
1985Curbell opens a facility in Albany, NY and Cheektowaga, NY.
1987Became a member of the NAPD National Association of Plastic Distributors.
1988Curbell opens a facility in Cleveland, OH.
1989Curbell opens a facility in Hartford, CT and Cincinnati, OH.
Gen II Pillow speaker introduced.
1992Curbell opens a facility in Philadelphia, PA.
1993New corporate offices are opened in Orchard Park, NY to serve as the Division headquarters for both the Plastics and Electronics operating units.
1995Curbell opens a facility in Detroit, MI.
Curbell, Inc. awarded, sole source, General Motors North-American Plastics Contract for all MRO plastic items (encompassing US, Mexico, and Canada).
Digital Pillow Speaker introduced.
1996Gen III Pillow Speaker introduced.
1997Curbell expands headquarters in Orchard Park, NY, doubling size to 56,000 square feet.
Curbell opens a facility in Clearwater, FL and Richmond, VA.
Purchased Regency Plastics in Atlanta, GA.
1999Purchased Daytona Plastics in Phoenix, AZ.
2002Curbell opens new Electronics manufacturing facility at 20 Centre Dr., Orchard Park.
Curbell is awarded a 4A1 credit rating by Dun & Bradstreet.
Electronics Division receives ISO 9001:2000 certification.
2004DirectAccess Pillow Speaker introduced.
2005Curbell commits to be a Learning Company and builds its first Learning Center in June 2005
2006Curbell Plastics corporate headquarters and several branch locations receive ISO 9001:2000 certification.
2007Curbell Plastics opens a facility in Denver, CO.
2009Environmental sustainability initiatives result in achieving "Zero Landfill" status for Curbell, Inc., Curbell Electronics, Inc., and Curbell Plastics' WNY location.
2010Chairman goes public with environmental sustainability initiatives.
