Curbell, Inc. recently participated in the United Way Day of Caring by volunteering at FeedMore WNY. Thirty employees from Curbell’s Orchard Park, NY location helped support FeedMore WNY’s mission to offer dignity, hope, and a brighter future by providing nutritious food, friendship, and skills training to our Western New York neighbors in need.
In 2024, FeedMore WNY assisted more than 165,700 individuals experiencing food insecurity throughout Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties. The food bank program distributed more than 15.8 million pounds of nutritious and shelf-stable foods to food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters and other hunger-relief partners throughout their service area. The prepared meals program delivered nearly 1.5 million meals to their homebound neighbors and community dining sites.
During the Day of Caring event, the Curbell volunteer team packed peanut butter backpack meals and 15 lb assorted food boxes. Together they completed 672 peanut butter backpack meals and 4,200 lbs of 15lb assorted food boxes for distribution!
