Curbell, Inc. is proud to share recent achievements from its subsidiary, Curbell Plastics, Inc., which were recognized at the 69th IAPD (The Performance Plastics Association) Annual Convention + connecX in Chicago, Illinois.

Sherrie Bloom, Director of Marketing at Curbell Plastics, Inc., was appointed to the IAPD Board of Directors during the convention. Bloom, who has been with Curbell for 12 years, leads marketing and sales development initiatives that strengthen customer engagement and support the company’s long-term growth. Her appointment reflects both her commitment to advancing the performance plastics industry and Curbell’s ongoing dedication to supporting IAPD through strong leadership. Passionate about sustainability and workforce development, Bloom has been an active volunteer within the association, serving on the Editorial Committee, contributing to the Workforce Development Task Force, and chairing the Marketing Committee.

During the convention, Curbell Plastics also received three prestigious Gold Awards. The company was honored with the Gold Education Circle of Champions Award for its innovative, comprehensive approach to employee learning and development, and received the inaugural Education Impact Award for advancing industry knowledge through workforce training, customer education, and university partnerships that inspire the next generation of leaders. These awards recognize the company’s deep-rooted belief that continuous learning drives innovation and strengthens both its people and the broader industry. “Winning the inaugural Education Impact Award validates the passion and commitment our team puts into building learning programs that make a real difference,” said Ashley Riley, Senior Training & Development Manager. “This recognition shows that our investment in employee growth and customer education not only strengthens Curbell but also sets a standard for our industry.”

Curbell’s dedication to environmental responsibility was once again recognized with the Gold Environmental Excellence Award, marking its eleventh consecutive year receiving this distinction and reflecting the company’s enduring commitment to sustainability across its nationwide operations. Rounding out its achievements, Curbell also earned the Gold Marketing Excellence Award for innovative campaigns and educational outreach that promote the benefits of performance plastics and highlight how these materials drive innovation and sustainability across diverse markets.

The convention also marked the completion of two consecutive one-year terms as IAPD President by Peter DelGado, Vice President of Training & Customer Experience at Curbell Plastics. In this role, DelGado helped guide the association through evolving strategies and opportunities within the performance plastics industry. “It has been an honor to serve as IAPD President and to work alongside so many dedicated professionals committed to advancing our industry,” said DelGado. “Together, we have strengthened the association’s ability to support our members and position the performance plastics industry for long-term success.”

Jeffrey Burke, Senior Regional Director for Curbell, also concluded his second two-year term on the IAPD Board of Directors, further extending Curbell’s tradition of active leadership within the association.

Together, these accomplishments highlight Curbell Plastics’ role as a trusted partner and advocate for the performance plastics community.
