Curbell, Inc. continues to lead the way in sustainability within the local community by taking meaningful steps toward a cleaner, greener future. Curbell’s Orchard Park, NY locations have already achieved 100% landfill free status through a robust recycling program. Building on this commitment, Curbell has added an on-site trash compactor at its 7 Cobham Drive location as part of its ongoing sustainability efforts.
The addition of the compactor supports Curbell’s environmental goals in several key ways. By reducing the frequency of dumpster pickups, trash compacting is expected to decrease the transportation-related emissions by 67% compared to the previous levels. Fewer pickups will also reduce the associated time and hauling costs, resulting in year-over-year operational savings.
Waste that cannot be recycled or reused will be transported to Curbell’s energy partner, located in Niagara Falls, where it will be converted into energy for use at local manufacturing facilities.
This initiative is being launched as a pilot program. Curbell plans to evaluate the environmental impact and cost savings at the 7 Cobham Drive location and explore expanding trash compaction to additional Curbell locations in the future.
